What's Included - Each DIY bucket contains 50–70 stems, including a balanced mix of Focal, Foundation, Filler, Floater, Finisher, and Foliage stems (this is enough to make ~5 standard-size mason jar arrangements or 2-3 medium centerpieces.) Exact flowers vary by availability, but we do our best to honor palette requests.
Order Deadlines - Orders must be placed 5 days in advance. For weddings or larger events, we recommend booking at least 4-6 weeks in advance to guarantee availability.
Bucket Cost & Return - Each DIY bucket order includes buckets that are clean, filled with water, and ready for your flowers. Buckets must be returned clean and in good condition within 14 days. A replacement fee will be charged for any buckets not returned.
Pickup & Delivery - Pickup is available at Gretchen's Garden at an agreed upon time. We kindly ask that you arrive on time, so flowers remain fresh.
Packaging & Handling - Flowers are hydrated, conditioned, and organized by variety. We provide buckets with your order unless otherwise noted.
Cancellations & Changes - Orders may be canceled or adjusted up to 2 weeks before pickup or delivery. Cancellations after this period are non-refundable due to the perishable nature of flowers.
Substitutions - We cannot guarantee specific varieties or shades, as flowers are seasonal and weather-dependent. Substitutions will be made with the closest available options that fit your chosen palette.
Quality Guarantee - We take pride in providing fresh, field-cut flowers that meet high standards for quality, vase life, and appearance. Each stem is harvested, cleaned, and conditioned before it arrives. Upon delivery, we encourage you to inspect your order right away. If you notice any issues with quality—such as damage during transport, wilted blooms, or a mismatch with your order —please contact us within 24 hours (with photos). We will work with you to find a solution, which may include replacement stems, a partial credit, or a discount on your next order.
Due to the natural variation of seasonal flowers, we cannot guarantee exact shades or bloom sizes, but we strive to exceed expectations with the quality and beauty of what we deliver.
Care & Longevity Directions - Proper handling after delivery is key to extending the vase life and maintaining the beauty of your flowers. We recommend sharing these best practices with your design team:
- Trim and hydrate if storing for more than one day.
- Recut stems at a diagonal and place them in clean, room-temperature water with floral preservative.
- Use clean buckets or vases. Dirty containers can harbor bacteria that shorten vase life.
- Store in a cool area.
- Keep flowers out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources, and separate from ripening fruits (which emit ethylene gas that can damage blooms).
- For larger orders or event prep, allow stems to rest in water for several hours before designing

Frequently Asked Questions
How many arrangements can I make from one bucket?
Each bucket (50-70 stems) can typically create ~5 standard-size mason jar arrangements or 2-3 medium centerpieces.
Can I mix and match palettes?
Each bucket contains one single color palette - simply add another bucket to enjoy more than one!
Can you give me tips on arranging if I’ve never done this before?
At this time, we don't consult on floral design, however, we encourage you to join us for an upcoming workshop to learn the foundations of design
How early should I pick up my flowers before my event?
We recommend picking up your flowers no earlier than the day before your event; this gives our team time to harvest, process, and prepare your order while ensuring maximum freshness! Day-of pick-ups also work for us.
